01Morning · Ruby
The deep-red antioxidant a freshwater algae makes to survive harsh sun, pressed in each morning before your sunscreen.
Guards both halves of a cell. Most antioxidants work in either the watery or the oily part of a skin cell. Astaxanthin’s long molecule reaches across both.
Nothing to sting. It works at a neutral pH, with no acid, alcohol or synthetic fragrance in the bottle.
In a base your skin knows. Squalane and jojoba, close to your skin’s own oils, so it sinks in instead of sitting on top.
How: Warm three to five drops between your palms and press them in after cleansing. Your sunscreen goes on top: Ruby doesn’t replace it.
Good to know: real astaxanthin is a strong pigment. Let it sink in before it meets white towels or pillowcases.
Oil or salve? The oil is light and sinks in fast. The salve is a richer balm with beeswax and rosehip, for skin that runs dry.
02Night · Emerald
Chlorella and blue tansy in a waterless oil or balm for redness-prone, reactive skin. The last step before bed.
Calm. Blue tansy, rich in chamazulene, soothes the look of redness.

A dry clay mask with chlorella and colloidal oatmeal that you mix fresh each time, with the rose water mist in the box.
Draws out oil and buildup. Bentonite pulls from your pores as it sets, and soft kaolin balances it so skin isn’t left tight.
